The Dude is Two

It's hard to believe that it has been two years since this sweet boy came into our lives.

He is truly a joy. While his personality is somewhat stubborn, it is also fun-lovin' and resilient.

We spent the day as normal. Jude opened his gift from Micah, which was an extension set to his Duplo blocks. It has a polar bear, a lion, an elephant, and a giraffe, as well as a zookeeper.

He loves little 'guys' and animals, so this was a perfect gift for him!

Since we didn't have any plans with family we decided to invite our dear friends to share

the evening with us. We celebrated in style with the Isbells.

Jude just mastered saying 'pizza', so we made homemade pizza.

After supper we moved outside, where it was BEAUTIFUL! We enjoyed

our cake and ice cream on the lawn.

Jude did a great job blowing out the candles. I wasn't sure how he'd do, but he

gave it all he had and accomplished the goal.

I let the boys help me make the tye-dye cake.

They had fun stirring the colors into the batter.

I didn't really have a plan for decorating the cake. I just kind of started decorating, and

this is where it ended up. Simple, but fun.

Jude, you are a true blessing. We are so thankful for your life, and so excited to see

what God has in store for you. You are an awesome little man,

I can't wait to see what an awesome 'big man' you become!
