7 Years

Seven years ago today I married my best friend. This morning we watched the video of our wedding. It was fun to see how our vows fit our lives today, and how we still want to strive to be who God has created us to be as a couple. When you say your marriage vows you agree to stick with each other, through thick and thin. It is so easy in, in that moment, to say "I Do", but sometimes hard to make it a reality.

Jason and I have experienced some great highs in the last seven years, but we have also gone through some pretty low valleys, physically, circumstantially, and emotionally. While there are times that I wish life were a little easier or that we could get some relief from the challenges, I also realize that this is life...there's no avoiding it. That being said, there is no one that I would rather experience 'life' with.

Jason, thank you for being the man that God created you to be. Thank you for leading our home with dignity, integrity and shamelessness. I love you because of who you are. I love your sense of humor, your funny impersonations that only I get to see/hear, your desire to raise our boys to go against the flow. I love your willingness to sacrifice what is comfortable for greater blessings. I love how you love me!
