As you'll see we've been getting some projects done around the home, since we own it and all. When the toilet breaks, you can't call the landlord anymore. Jason has learned a lot about toilets, let's just leave it at that ;)
Micah 'helping' daddy replace the retched padded toilet seat that was on our toilet when we moved in. Those things gross me out, and last a whole 5 minutes before breaking!
I have officially failed to take a monthly picture of Jude for months 6 and 7....and he's officially the second child!
He has started eating, well, everything that doesn't eat him first! He is the polar opposite from Micah in many many ways, and eating is just one. Micah would not budge when it came to eating baby food. If I pried the spoon just far enough between his lips SOMETIMES he would open them for Gerber prunes, but Jude...he'll eat it all! He is starting to prefer things he can pick up over pureed foods, which is quite fine by us! Apparently I stopped moving long enough for him to think he could eat the camera! No seriously though, last night we were having pork chops and I had him on my lap. I thought the plate was out of his reach, but then looked down to see him holding a giant piece of pork chop! Awesome!
Jude has also taken off in the department of mobility. 5 days ago he learned to get himself up into a sitting position, today he pulled himself up to his knees! I am SO not ready for this. He can craw great...BACKWARDS! It is so funny to watch. He army crawls forward, but I have a feeling that is quite temporary.
One other project we did late this fall was to paint our night stand. I have been wanting to paint it for a while. It was in need of a new coat of paint, but our room also needed some color. I decided to paint it purple, deep purple, to tie in the colors of our quilt. Jason was less than thrilled at the choice of color, but as always he was still a good sport. I gave him the option of painting or watching the kiddos. He was smart and chose to paint ;) No, he actually wanted to paint it.
Now we just need to hang something above the head of our bed. I'm kind of scared to, I'm afraid something will fall down in the middle of the night. Maybe we'll do an uppercase living instead!
This week I have 5 Christmas parties in 7 days. Don't ask me how or why, it just worked out this way. While I absolutely hate being this busy, I feel like every party has a purpose and are important. Tis the season! and it will pass all too soon!
