Micah Moo

Shortly after Micah was born I started calling him 'Micah Moo'. There was no particular event or reason that made me give him that nickname, I love it all the same! He has even started to call himself 'Micah Moo'. Since I'm behind on blogging, and because I love him so stinkin' much, this post is all about Micah-to-the-Moo.

He loves to accessorize. The lighting isn't the best in this picture, but he has the hood on his hat up AND a ball cap on top of that. He walked around the house for a good 2 hours like this. When we go to the store he doesn't want to take of his hat, even his winter hat while we're inside...it makes me so hot!!!

This was taken before we headed out to help our good friends, Gabe and Missy, get wood for the winter. They have blessed us beyond measure, it was our small way of giving back. We had a great day, got our hearts pumpin' as we carried wood up a very steep hill and enjoyed fellowship with some great folks ;)
While we were at Gabe's parent's house getting the wood Micah fell into a tree stump...it was not terrible, but scratched his face up. You'll see in the next pictures.

The next day, after getting wood with the Isbells, we went down to my parent's home to celebrate Micah and his Uncle J's birthday. When we told my brother-in-law, Jared, that I was due to have Micah on October 10 he said, "You know, my birthday is on the 18th, you should just wait and have him on my birthday." Low and behold, Micah WAS born on the 18th, I'm still shaking my fist at him! While we were there my sister, Phoebe, was harvesting corn down the road. Micah rode with Jason and Uncle Brandon in the combine for over 2 hours!!! He LOVED it! He loved it so much he still talks about it!

This picture has a terrible glare, but that is Jason, Micah and my sister Phoebe in the tractor. Phoebe took them back to the combine, where they rode with Brandon.

Looking at all the corn in the wagons!

We are so blessed to have such an awesome son. He tries our patience at times, tonight even....
In spite of his sinful nature he is a cuddle-dud, loves to make you smile, and loves to make music or dance to it. I am loving this phase of his life, that's right, I'm loving the 'terrible two's'. He is learning SO much right now, it is so great to see him verbalize or put into action the things we have been teaching him since birth or shortly after. He cracks me up with his dances and makes me melt when he snuggles in tight with Jason or me.
Micah, you're the leader of your siblings, you have a great responsibility in that. Your brother and future siblings will look to you as their model. You have been given a role of leadership. I pray that you take that by the reins!

Dude, Micah looks like such a bad a$$ with his scraped forehead, sunglasses and hat.

Is that inappropriate??? It's the only way I can express it though...
