All Boy

We had our '20 week' ultrasound yesterday. I say it in quotations, because I'm actually 22 weeks along. I realized that since I hadn't met my deductible for last year, that if I had an ultrasound in December all of that money would go down the drain. By waiting until the first week of January, that money will be applied to the deductible for this year, which we KNOW we'll be meeting ;)

As most of you know, we waited to find out whether Micah or Jude were male or female until they were born. We LOVED the surprise, and really hadn't imagined doing it any other way. A few weeks ago, we both felt more excited and 'tempted' to find out the sex of this baby. We didn't have any good reason to find out whether it was a boy or a girl, but we also didn't have any good reason to wait.

So, we decided to go for it! I'm glad we did, because literally, the first thing we saw when she placed the wand on my belly was his, ahem, boy parts. We didn't say anything right then, but afterwards we were both like 'did you see that it was a boy right away?'...and we both had ;)
She pointed it out later, and it is quite obvious that this household will be filled with just that much more rowdiness and testosterone.

The classic, sweet, profile picture.

The tech was able to get some pretty good 3-D pictures. I've always found these to be creepy, but not this time, I think it's awesome how much detail you can see.
She put that he was a 'shy baby' because he has his hands in front of his face, but we'll see...I'm not putting any money on that one.

Aww...what's not to love!?!?

One big foot, he'll fit right in.

We're so excited, just to be adding another blessing to our family. We would've been just as excited if it was a girl. Honestly, I was a little afraid that I would be disappointed if it was a boy, but I'm SO not, not for one second. He's so precious to me already, and I can't wait to meet him.

Jason and I are now saving up for a second fridge...I think we might need it in a few years ;)
