After many people 'encouraging' and update, some more subtle than others...I finally decided to make time. I apologize for all of you wating on the edge of you chair for updates, only to wait over 10 days for a new update. Life around here flies by! Its hard to believe it goes so fast when I am in the midst of our rotation of eat, sleep, poop...but it does. Here are a few pictures of Micah taking his first successful bottle from Daddy. I say first successful because we tried the day before, only we waited until he was screaming to start warming up the bottle...needless to say, that run was not successful. This attempt, however, was...and he downed the 2 oz in less than 2 mintues. I was so proud of him, yet very sad because I worked so hard pumping to get that 2 oz., I was amazed at how something took so much work to produce and was gone so fast. Every breast feeding mother feels my pain right now, am I right? Jason did an excellent job. Our goal is for him to take a bottle from Jason at least 2 times a week so he gets used to it and doesn't 'forget' that he's used to it.

This next picture is of this silly hat they gave us at the hospital. It is very cute, but I have a feeling if Micah could speak in words, silly would not be the word he would choose to describe it. I was driving to a friends house the other day and he just started screaming, I thought he was hungry, but I looked in the mirror and this hat was down over his eyes. He was screaming and shaking his head back and forth. Needless to say we take it off when he is in the car now. It was too cute though, and thought you all might find it just a cute/humerous as we did.

Aww, bonding time with daddy...some of my favorite pictures of myself are just like this, only I think my dad is sleeping and I'm wide awake. Micah and Daddy love to bond together. I love seeing the love of my life spend quality time with the other love of my life ;) The outfit he has on is too cute, you cant tell from this picture, but it has a little bear and a tiny little mouse on it. My cousin Anne got it for him in Oregon ( I feel like I'm spelling that wrong). It fits him now, but not for long, he's a long little thing!

First Bath!!! Well, first real bath. We had been just giving Micah a 'spit' bath on his changing table, but after his umbilical cord fell off we decided to go for the real deal. I wouldn't say he loved it, but he didn't scream...in fact, I don't think he made a sound the whole time. I covered his little man parts for picture purposes, but I also read somewhere that if you leave a wash cloth over their belly it keeps them more calm. Whatever it takes man!

Look how long his torso is! I have a feeling that I will have trouble finding clothes to fit this little guy...length is not a trait the Hoskins family ever struggled with...width, yes...length, no!

These next two pictures I absolutly love. I took them last night. As you can see, Mr. Blackley is a deep thinker when he sleeps. He sleeps like this often, or with his arms above and behind his head in a fist...I LOVE IT! For those of you who haven't seen him lately, you can see that the massive feedings are taking hold...his cheeks are filling out nicely!
We are still overwhelmed with love for him. We are also overwhelmed with the Lord's provision in our lives and blessings that he has poured out on our lives. I am not going to remember how to cook by the time this month is over. We have had so many meals come to our home and have even more scheduled to come via friends, family, and church members. We are so appreciative of everyone's support and love! Thank you! I have always volunteered to take a meal to a new mother or someone struggling...I will forever say YES, YES, YES...these meals have been such a blessing. They are obviously physically helpful, but moreover, they allow me to not have to worry about taking a little one to the grocery store or making a menu, let alone actually making the meals.

I think that last picture is him admiring is biceps!! What adorable pictures! I was so thrilled to get to hold him when we were there! I hear your pain about all the work to pump...then they suck it down so fast! Its all worth it!!!
Love ya,
Travis
Wow! He's grown so much! Those are incredible pictures - THANK YOU! We are so looking forward to seeing you guys (all of you!) this weekend and getting to know this beautiful child.
We couldn't be happier for you!! He is just precious. It sounds like you are doing great as exhausting as it is. If you had written that you were making a 3 course meal, were caught up on laundry, and thinking about painting your bedroom I would worry. Thanks for keeping it real! I love it!!!
